COUNTY LINE LUTHERAN CEMETERY
Located on State Road 114, at the junction of State Roads 114 and 5.
It is just west of the corner, called Luther, (formerly called Sawdust Hill)
about 6 miles south of South Whitley, Indiana.
The Lutheran Church, built in the southeastern part of Cleveland township, in the year 1839
was probably the first church edifice erected in this section of the country.
The Church was organized in 1840 with a membership of ten persons.
James Oliver was the first pastor.
In later years the building was sold and removed from the site.
Only a small part of the foundation is left.
This small cemetery has been well cared for for years but it has stones missing, broken and fallen over.
